Masaki Seto is a queer critic in Japan who writes and speaks on the issues of gender and sexuality in conjunction with other social issues like poverty and ethnocentrism. He is formerly known as Masaki C. Matsumoto.
I studied Sociology of Gender and Sexuality at International Christian University and the University of Chicago (M.A. incomplete), researching cisgender, straight women’s fight against sexism, misogyny, homophobia, and transphobia. Besides working as a freelance essay writer and public speaker, I also ran a minority-inclusive bar/diner FAT CATS in Gunma for 9 years between 2012 and 2023, with my trans-inclusive feminist mother (@eva_vack).
